Pool Deck GRINDING Rubber Surface PREP

This video will show you how we GRIND prep a POOL DECK to prepare for a Rubber Surfaces Installation. In order to have the rubber remain flush with the pool coping and the pool fixtures you must grind at a 45 degree angle, a quarter of inch in depth, to ensure the rubber is level. This will give your finished Rubber Surface a clean look and prevent any chipping away of edges, improving strength and durability. Use the grinder (diamond cutting wheel) to remove and high spots and cut out any damaged areas or loose craked concrete.

To minimize debris you can have a partner follow the dust trail closely with a shop vacuum. Take extra care that the electric cords don't fall into the water...for obvious reasons.
